Information for Reviewers
Here at PS Publishing we're always extremely interested to hear what readers think of our books, especially when those readers are also reviewers or bloggers who are keen to help us to spread the word about our titles.
We'd love to be able to send finished copies to everyone, but as a small, independent publisher, we simply can't afford to. We don't want to have to pick and choose just a few reviewers to receive each title, either, because we know that if we do, then some of the most knowledgeable and enthusiastic - but perhaps lower-profile - reviewers could end up missing out.
So, our solution is this: we're going to make pdf review copies available to any reviewer - large or small, established or new - who wants to read them and then talk about them, whether on their blog, or in a 'zine, or on a forum. Show us that you want to read and talk about our books - and have somewhere to do just that - and we'll show you how to get your hands on them...
Adbode pdf copies of the following PS titles are currently available:
- Song of Time by Ian R MacLeod
- The Pilo Family Circus by Will Elliott
- Cage of Night by Ed Gorman
- The Economy of Light by Jack Dann
- Template by Matthew Hughes
- Postscripts #15 ed. by Peter Crowther and Nick Gevers
Please observe the following niceties to help us smooth the process along:
- If you're already on our press & pr list, you should have received an email with the relevant URLs and passwords for those titles listed above. If you haven't heard from us recently, or are new to reviewing PS titles, please send an email to:press [at] pspublishing [dot] co [dot] ukand let us know:
- Which title(s) you are interested in reviewing
- Which publication(s), blog(s) or website(s) your review is likely to be published by (so we can check on your credentials etc. and avoid duplication)
- Assuming everything checks out, we'll then send you a link (or links) to the appropriate page(s) of the website, from where you'll be able to download a pdf copy of the title(s) in question.
- Once your review is published, please make sure to send us a link, or a scanned / pdf copy of your review (if it appears in a print publication) so that we can say the appropriate thank-yous, as well as link to (or mention) your review via the PS News-Room.
That's it! We look forward to hearing from you...
